About

We are a small team of Chinese and New Zealanders based in Beijing, and we are passionate about coffee. Combined, we have almost 50 years experience in the coffee industry. We source top quality Arabica beans from around the globe, then import and roast them.

Our coffee is fresh. Really fresh. Once roasted, we send it out straight away. We believe the key to good coffee is finding great beans, roasting them just right, and using them fresh — within days of roasting. Try our coffee, you will love it!







What’s New?

Time Out Beijing Food Awards 2012!

It’s that Time again! Time Out Beijing’s famous Food Awards…. And this year Rickshaw Roasters are proud to be one of the major sponsors. This is all going down Tuesday 24th April 2012 at the new Brasserie Flo. We’ve worked closely with Time Out before during the 2011 Beijing Design week, so you can be sure this invitation only VIP event, bringing together the industries best of the best (including yours truly), it’s set to be a hot night. We’ll keep you posted (on our new Blog) on the events of the night, you can be sure of that!

Yunnan coffee, give it a go!

We’ve found some good stuff from the Baoshan region of Yunnan. Honestly, most of the Yunnan we try does not make the grade, but we are pretty happy with the new coffee that just came in. It’s a good Filter or French press, and is a good example of the Yunnan flavour. Similar to a Central American coffee, it has medium body, and some citrus acidity. When milk is added you get a lovely smooth milk chocolate flavour. While in China, you should try the local beans.
